‘Obesity is a plague on the modern youth of this country’, according to many of todays National Press.

With this in mind, how sad is it to see the frequent disappearance of school playing fields, open play areas and local sports activity sites.

One such example is the North Harrow Tennis Club, formed in 1925, that is now closed and falling into disrepair. Threatened by sale for a new housing development, another sports area will fall off the landscape. Previously with a thriving membership, aged 8 – 75, whilst never producing a Wimbledon champion, it gave countless hours of exercise and pleasure to young and old alike.

Join us in fighting the sale of NHTC for housing development and the re-establishment of a future venue for sporting activity.

Current updates

We are busy preparing a detailed plan for the continued success of the club to be handed to the solicitors representing Joy Hardy and Diane Owen, (11th May).

On Sunday 11th May, the photographer for the Harrow Observer took pictures outside the club with members of the residents, look out for the article on the 15th May and also now under www.getwestlondon.co.uk.
